Blitz Tournament
Two Sections: Open & Kids G5;d2 (5 minutes per with 2 second delay)
Unrated and open to all skill levels. 7 rounds expected. Minimum of $500 in cash prizes will be awarded! Entry fee is $19 per player to be paid via ZELLE only. Register and if a spot is available, you will get a text from 281.698.0068 to arrange payment to guarantee your spot. If payment is not made in a timely fashion the spot will be relinquished to someone else. Only 72 spots available for this event. Boards and sets provided. Please bring clocks if you own one. NO US Chess membership required. This event will not be submitted for rating.
Chess Family Feud
Teams battle to guess the most popular answers from our community survey. Maximum 8 teams of four only. Entry is $30 per team. Prize TBD. We'll be filming the fun for posterity - and probably a few laughs.
Fear Mystery Boxes
Reach in. Feel around. Guess what's inside. Get a treat for each one you guess correctly.

Chess player, ghost, superhero, grandmaster, monster — anything goes! Costumes are completely optional and the event is open to all ages.

Voting will take place online through Instagram.
We'll also have a separate Chess Players' Choice award for the best costume selected by our directing team.
