Meet Other Chess Players

Find other chess players! A lot of times, people are always willing to share tips & advice if you are willing to ask for it! This tip is for free advice. Look for a local chess club and join their casual in person meetups. Join our facebook group to keep up to date. These meetups have times and locations that can change regularly.

Private Coach

Hire a private chess coach. In the Houston area the average minimum cost ranges from $25 - $50 an hour. Some coaches go up to $75-$125 an hour for a private lesson. You can find a list of chess organizations here.

Self-Learn

There are many many resources online for an adult including free videos, etc to learn on your own from home. Just google. Below is a list of sample websites you can try:
