I have taught chess to Scholastic’s for over 20 years. If you are an aspiring chess youth, beginner or
advanced, I can help you improve your game. Adult’s with ratings below 2000 are also welcome.
I have competed in numerous tournaments primarily within the State of Texas. Highlights of
competition include:
1 st Place 1976 Texas Junior Championship
2 nd Place 1976 U.S. Junior Championship
1 st Place in the Absolute Houston City Championship on two occasions.
3 rd Place in the 1988 Texas State Championship
3 rd Place in the 1992 Gulf Coast Open
2 nd Place in the 1992 Texas Open
