Kings of Houston.

By invitation only. Invitations have not yet been sent out...
This event is still in planning stages.

A "by invitation only" chess social event.

Play blitz against some of the strongest local players in Houston. Each player will receive a custom engraved player chip with his/her name. Upon your arrival have a seat at the next available board. Games will proceed in a King of the Hill format for the evening. Win your game, move up a board. Lose your game, move down a board. Come and go as you please but adhere to the playing format the entire night. If you leave the ladder at any point you restart at the bottom (lowest board).

"Match of the Night" - two random players will be drawn from the collection of player chips, winner of the match receives $50. Takes place at a time designated by the event host. Ladder pauses temporarily for everyone to watch the game. Color is selected by coin flip.

"Lucky Player of the Night" - all player chips will be collected. One lucky Player drawn at random will receive $20. Just for being there and being lucky!

Interested? Let me know.  Your first player chip will be created for free, on the house. Lose it? You'll be responsible for paying $20 for a replacement chip.

Didn't receive an invitation? We may have a secondary Bishops vs Knights ladder for you to join. Those interested, fill out this form.

Also in the works, a "Pawns of Houston" ladder challenge for the novice youth players. Request info here.

Yours truly,
Kwunnie
