Rated Match Play.


General Overview
  1. cost is $25 per player to be prepaid in advance
  2. time control is G/55;d5 (each game expected to last approx 2 hours); see alternate below
  3. time is allotted to run 2 games in one night; first game will start at 7pm; second match game immediately after first one ends; a short break between the 2 rounds is possible. this format allows for matched up pairs to play against one another twice, once as white, once as black
  4. depending on availability of players, the goal is to pair you against an opponent within +/- 100 points of your rating
  5. if there is not an opponent available, there will not be a match for you, you will simply not be able to play.
  6. you must have an established, non-provisional USCF rating to participate and your USCF membership must be current
  7. there are no cash prizes for this event - you are playing for bragging rights and rating points
  8. text 281-698-0068 between NOW and Friday May 8th at 10am. you will be notified by 1pm if you are paired.
  9. match fee will need to be paid in advance via Chase quickpay or other method upon confirmation of the pairing
  10. all players must wear face masks for the entire presence at the club
  11. there is an option to arrange your own pairing
