This is an OUTDOOR rated chess event with the playing arena under a tent.
Rain is possible and play will continue regardless. Please be prepared accordingly.
Bring a poncho in the event of rain and earbuds for noise control.

Special COVID Guidelines - Must Read!
- Players are required to bring your own playing equipment and sanitize the pieces, board and clock prior to the start of each round on-site. Opponents, please assist the player whose equipment is being used.
- Sanitization supplies will be provided.
- It is not recommended that you bring a fancy wood board with wood pieces. Best to bring standard vinyl boards and plastic pieces to undergo the sanitization process.
- You are playing at your own risk of any damage to equipment. The venue host and event organizer will not be responsible for any damage incurred to your playing equipment.
- If you choose to opt to not bring equipment expecting your opponent will have it, there may not be any on-site for purchase and both players will forfeit that round if no playing equipment is made available.
- Bring your own writing instrument to do required notation. The organizer will only provide notation sheets.
- Everyone, players and bystanders included, must wear masks the entire time. Absolutely no exceptions. If you have a medical condition preventing you from wearing a mask, do not register to play. If your child refuses to wear the mask the entire time, he will be forfeited from the tournament immediately with no recourse.
- No eating/snacking/drinking while playing at the board. If you need to rehydrate, you must step aside at least 6ft away from the playing arena.
- Everyone will need to go thru a temperature screening at the entrance gate & receive wristbands. After that, players must also check in at the registration tent near the playing arena for their name tags and pairing information. There is no longer an entrance gate or temperature screening or wristbands. The plaza will not be fenced in as originally planned.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided and is required to be used by players prior to the start of each round and upon returning to the table.
- Those over 65 or that have medical conditions that predispose them to COVID-19 are advised to practice heightened safety measures.
- Participants and attendees are expected to self-screen and those with COVID-19 or similar symptoms are to not attend.
- If noise and outdoor weather conditions are not suitable for you, please do not register to play. Registering means you accept and acknowledge these special circumstances for this event and will prepare to play accordingly.

Tournament players will be limited to the following:
1. all adults 18 or older: rated or unrated/provisional, no OTB (over-the-board) regular rating required
2. youth: minimum age 8 and must have an OTB rating = or > 1000 USCF with a minimum of 3 OTB tournaments in their history
3. all youth age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian
4. everyone must have a current USCF membership
